Welcome to the Rooster Racing Page. This page will follow the team as they build a new Race Truck for Rooster to race in the MAORA racing series in 2005. Check in from time to time and watch the team's progress.
     Rooster plans to build an extended cab mid-engine short frame F150. The donor for this project is a 1986 F150 Extended Cab long bed ( wheel base 155" ). The `86 has the motor, tranny, front end, and rear end with spring package that Rooster is looking for. The platform for the project truck is a 1978 F150 short bed ( wheel base 118" ). The `78 will be stripped to the frame rails and some cross members. The Cab from the `86 section will be placed on the `78 chassis. Rooster will locate the driver's seat as far back as possible in the long cab. The motor and tranny will then be located as far back as possible for a mid-engine truck
